(Summary description)  In December 2020, South University of Science and Technology of China won the first prize in the comprehensive evaluation of the project “Procurement of ultra-high Resolution immersive virtual reality visualization system”. The project includes several visualization systems such as CAVE virtual reality system and LED arc surface system. After the system is completed, it will be used for the global display of large-scale three-dimensional data and the simulation of complex three-dimensional data. The collaborative visualization of big data 3d structure and other research materials is studied through Vr human-computer interaction system. To promote the production efficiency of excellent scientific research results in various disciplines, such as biology, mechanics, earth, ocean, artificial intelligence, environment and so on. The platform will also enhance technical cooperation and exchanges with the world’s leading universities and research institutions in the field of virtual reality visualization and simulation. The CAVE system adopts Barco’s latest generation of 4K binocular virtual reality technology, which can be used by two people for high-resolution 3d visualization and interaction. Two people can wear three-dimensional glasses with real-time tracking, in the virtual teaching scene, with their own perspective into the interior of the three-dimensional data, insight into the mysterious world, especially suitable for teachers and students teaching experience and discussion.

The winning bid will be the first CAVE virtual reality system (Zhejiang University 2000) , the first industrial CAVE system (611 CAVE systems in 2005) and the first large-scale, all-immersive CAVE system (COMAC 2014) .
